The best cup of coffee in Reykjavik.

The best cup of coffee in Reykjavik.

I’m no expert, but I like to think I’ve got this coffee thing down. I live in a major metropolis. I can order a pour over or nitro comfortably. There’s at least one La Colombe within walking distance of me at any given time. So when my guide from I <3 Reykjavik took time out of our walking tour to proclaim Reykjavik Roasters the best cup of coffee in the city, I had to stop.

He was so right. Perhaps the only pour over in all of Iceland (don’t fact check me on that), Reykjavik Roasters serves a delightful cup of coffee. Adorned with succulents and a homey vibe, you can rest your feet on of the eclectic armchairs while waiting for your coffee. The sound system is powered by a record player near the cashier, and I don’t think they’d mind if you put on your favorite blues album.

It’s conveniently located near Hallgrimskirkja and easy to add to your plans for the day. They also will make your drink for takeaway if you’re inclined to keep exploring (or there are no seats left in the cafe).
